How NailedByMo Came To Be!

  • Humble Beginnings In My Dorm

    NailedByMo began in my dorm room my freshman year of college at NAU. All I had was my little folding table and a lot of determination. What was born out of a need for a job quickIy became an incredible opportunity to start building the ultimate marketing toolbox.

    I started posting my work on Snapchat college stories, which led to me getting my first clients! This quickly spread to word-of-mouth referrals. Even in the early stages, I was balancing client management, promotion, and a full class load laying the foundation for what would become a full-scale personal brand and business.

  • Building a Recognizable Brand

    After transferring to ASU, I took NailedByMo to the next level. I refined my brand identity, elevated my content through branded photoshoots, and built a strong, consistent presence across Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest.

    I leaned into organic marketing creating engaging, shareable content and encouraging user-generated story posts, videos, and testimonials. This strategy helped me grow a highly engaged online community and build trust at scale. As a result, I built a loyal client base of over 200 recurring clients and maintained a waitlist of 300+.

  • Beyond The Nail Room

    Running NailedByMo was more than a side hustle, it was my first true entrepreneurial venture. I wore every hat: nail artist, content creator, digital strategist, and business owner. I learned how to create demand from scratch, build brand loyalty, and scale through storytelling and content strategy.

    This hands-on experience gave me a real-world understanding of what it takes to build and grow a brand. NailedByMo laid the foundation for the entrepreneurial mindset and marketing skill set I now bring to every opportunity.

Redesigning Brand Identity

In addition to managing day-to-day content, I worked closely with the salon owner to revamp the brand identity and develop a long-term strategy that aligned with her vision. We defined clear brand goals, identified the target audience of 20–35-year-old women who prioritize high-end, personalized self-care, and built a messaging framework that blends beauty and business seamlessly.

I helped translate her creative direction into a cohesive visual identity and tone of voice, refining everything from her positioning statement and bio to content themes and tagline ideas. Throughout the process, I guided her in understanding how strategic content can reflect her artistry, support her business goals, and attract more of the clients she truly wants to serve.

Our collaboration resulted in a brand story that feels polished, purposeful, and fully aligned with the experience she delivers in the salon.
